The Metropol Theater Bremen is one of the most important event venues in northern Germany - a house that combines architecture, versatility and great show culture and has been shaping the cultural life of the city since 1999.
Its history is unusual: after various failed conversion plans in the 1980s and 1990s, a modern theater was built on the site of the former Zentralbad, which opened in 1999 with the musical "Jekyll & Hyde". Over the years, the former musical theater has developed into a venue that goes far beyond classic musicals. Today, the Metropol Theater presents a broad spectrum - from musicals, dance and show formats to concerts, comedy, family productions and special events.

The hall offers around 1,450 comfortable seats, spread across the stalls, two tiers and boxes, and impresses with good visibility and balanced acoustics on all levels. A 24-metre-high stage tower and modern lighting, sound and stage technology make it possible to stage large productions without losing the proximity between stage and audience. The spacious three-storey foyer with bars, bistro and café creates the perfect setting for a successful evening.
The program is deliberately open: big musical hits, new play developments, tribute shows, dance theater, pop and rock concerts, comedy and formats for young visitors. This makes the Metropol Theater a lively meeting place for people from Bremen and the whole region. A visit to the Metropol Theater means immersing yourself in an entertainment venue that combines modern technology, urban flair and diverse stage art - a place for evenings full of sound, movement and atmosphere.
