A monument to history - and today a stage for the present: the Kaisersaal Erfurt combines more than 500 years of culture with modern event and congress flair in the heart of the old town.
The Kaisersaal in Erfurt is one of the oldest event venues in Europe. Located directly on the historic Via Regia, the building stands for over five centuries of social, cultural and political life. There are numerous contributions to this tradition: the Congress of Princes of Napoleon I and Tsar Alexander I met here in 1808, and an important Social Democratic Party conference was held in the hall in 1891.
The classicist ensemble with its magnificent façade and elegant interior has undergone several transformations over the centuries - from university ballroom to municipal theater to today's cultural and congress center. The historic event hall with its spacious galleries, high ceilings and opulent décor offers space for concerts, galas, conferences and large celebrations - with modern facilities and an impressive atmosphere.
