Between stillness and movement, memory and transformation, Sudarshan Shetty unfolds a poetic visual world of sculpture, space, and sound at the Ludwig Museum Koblenz. The exhibition "A Breath Held Long" invites visitors to take a fresh look at time, perception, and human experience.

With "A Breath Held Long," the Ludwig Museum Koblenz presents a comprehensive solo exhibition by the internationally renowned Indian artist Sudarshan Shetty. At the heart of his work is the moment of pause—a state between past and future, between expectation and change. Sculptures, large-scale installations, and atmospheric stagings combine to create a multi-layered experience that appeals to both physical presence and emotional resonance.

Shetty often works with familiar objects and materials that are transferred into new contexts. Everyday forms lose their original function and develop symbolic meanings. Movement, repetition, and silence become central elements of an artistic language that raises questions about memory, transience, and cultural identity.

The exhibition transforms the museum spaces into a meditative environment in which visitors are invited to slow down and sharpen their gaze. "A Breath Held Long" is less a classic presentation of individual works and more a coherent spatial experience—a silent dialogue between artwork, space, and audience.
