After successfully solving a case, the famous Belgian private detective Hercule Poirot wants to spend a few days in Istanbul. But as soon as he arrives, he is called back to London by Scotland Yard. When he tries to get a ticket for the legendary Orient Express, he learns that the train is fully booked.

Fortunately, he meets Monsieur Bouc, an old acquaintance from Belgium. He is in charge of the Orient Express from Istanbul and gets Poirot a compartment on his famous train, which he will be accompanying on this journey anyway. We get to know the illustrious traveling companions on the platform before departure: Ladies and gentlemen of the world boarding the train. During the journey through Serbia, the train comes to an unexpected halt due to a heavy snowstorm. An insidious murder overshadows the journey. The deeper Poirot delves into the investigation, the more opaque the interviewees appear. Can Poirot solve the case, which is shrouded in a veil of mystery?
