A seemingly ordinary school day suddenly turns into an extreme situation: with the musical "#vollamok," the Theater im Viertel in Saarbrücken brings an intense play about fear, group dynamics, and responsibility to the stage—close to the lives of young people and frighteningly topical.

A completely normal day at a completely normal school turns into a nightmare for a handful of people...

A group of teenagers is sentenced to detention, supervised by two teachers. Time seems to stand still for outsider Lissy, her tormentors Tessa and Shanaya, and several other teenagers. Suddenly, a shot is heard in the school building. What has happened? A shooting spree? Who is responsible and why are they shooting at this high school? And what happens to people who, in an exceptional situation like this, are crammed into a room and fear for their lives?

The musical, penned by theater educator Sibille Sandmayer and composer Jennie Kloos, was written in 2019 in collaboration with the young people who staged it at the time. The following year, the production won two awards. In the 2020 "KultDing" competition organized by the Rhineland-Palatinate Lottery Foundation, the musical about a school shooting won third prize. In addition, the project was rated "exemplary" by the Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance and awarded €2,000.

Today, the musical "#vollamok" celebrates its revival at TiV and takes its audience on a dramatic and exciting journey.
