The Brandenburg State Museum of Modern Art (BLMK) is a cultural highlight in the heart of Brandenburg and a must-see for all art lovers. With its two locations in Cottbus and Frankfurt (Oder), the museum offers an impressive collection of East German art since 1945 as well as changing exhibitions of contemporary art.

The BLMK sees itself as a lively place of dialog between the past, present and future - where history meets current social issues. Whether painting, sculpture, photography or new media - the museum shows diverse perspectives on life in the GDR, the upheaval after 1989 and the challenges of our time.

In architecturally attractive buildings - the Cottbus diesel power plant and the former exhibition hall in Frankfurt (Oder) - visitors can experience art up close and in an extraordinary atmosphere. The program is complemented by exciting events, guided tours and workshops for young and old.

A visit to the BLMK is worthwhile for anyone who not only wants to view art, but also understand and experience it.
