The Tingvall Trio - what a success story! Founded in Hamburg in 2003, it is one of the most successful German formations in its unchanged line-up with several ECHO Jazz Awards, Jazz Awards in Gold and a whole series of No. 1 jazz chart albums!
From the very beginning, the trio's very own expressive spectrum has emerged from the different countries of origin of its members: pianist and composer Martin Tingvall comes from Sweden, bassist Omar Rodriguez Calvo from Cuba and drummer Jürgen Spiegel from Germany (from Bremen!). And so Martin Tingvall's compositions are developed to their final maturity in rehearsals and concerts, with the trio's interplay constantly stimulating each other. From the wildly exuberant rushing forward to the contemplative-poetic pause, the Tingvall Trio captivates with elegance, joy of playing and melodic finesse as a formation of three artists interacting at eye level who inspire each other to top performances!
