Bursting with energy, the Broadway masterpiece Crazy For You unfolds just before Christmas with a fast-paced mix of glamor, cowboys and tap dancing. Rousing songs, a good dose of humor and thrilling choreography exude dazzling Broadway glamour that soon meets the Wild West.

Bobby, a young New York banker, aspires to a career on Broadway and introduces himself to producer Bela Zangler - without success! Shortly afterwards, he finds himself in a place that couldn't be more unglamorous: Deadrock, Nevada. Here he is supposed to wind up a run-down theater on behalf of his mother. However, he meets Polly, the theater owner's daughter, with whom he immediately falls in love. In order to win her heart and save the theater, Bobby stages a breakneck story of mistaken identity ...
First performed in 1930 as Girl Crazy, Gershwin's musical underwent a profound reworking six decades later by Ken Ludwig and Mike Ockrent. Among other things, they enriched it with numerous songs that Gershwin had written for other musicals or films. Hits such as "I Got Rhythm" and "Embraceable You" were now joined by others such as "Shall We Dance", "They Can't Take That Away From Me" and "Someone To Watch Over Me". 55 years after Gershwin's death, this revision, which is also a tribute to the composer, was performed on Broadway in 1992 and received the Tony Award for Best Musical in the same year.
The work by George Gershwin, the father of the American musical, will be staged by musical specialist Cusch Jung, who will also be appearing on stage himself as the quirky Broadway producer Bela Zangler!
Premiere December 16, 2023
