You'd think these men really were the Comedian Harmonists. They look (almost) like them, sing their world-famous songs and enchant their audience. The story of the world's first boy band, which quickly became a legend, is told in an alternation of moderation and music: Funny, touching and first-class music. Unforgotten hits such as Wochenend und Sonnenschein, Mein kleiner grüner Kaktus and In der Bar zum Krokodil are sung in perfect a cappella and bring the charm and humor of the "golden" 1920s back to the stage with rousing choreography.
The blend of the five singers' voices is a stroke of luck and comes very close to the original without copying their legendary role models: Experience from drama, musicals, opera and chamber music gives rise to that wide-ranging sound spectrum with which the "real" Comedian Harmonists were successful some 90 years earlier.
