A magical film moment live in sound: The Deutsches Nationaltheater and Staatskapelle Weimar bring the cult film Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella to life with its unforgettable music in the big house.
Since its premiere in 1973, "Three Nuts for Cinderella" has enchanted audiences with its fairytale charm, snowy landscapes and indestructible catchy tune potential - and is now celebrating its anniversary as the perfect live film series for the Christmas season. On the Staatskapelle's large stage, Karel Svoboda's film music is not just an accompaniment, but a narrative moment in its own right: with every note, Cinderella's adventures in the snow and castle walls come to life anew, her three mysterious hazelnuts open doors to magic, courage and her own destiny. The audience becomes part of a festive scene in which film and orchestra become one and the magic of this classic can be experienced again.
