The Brandenburger Theater is the cultural heart of Brandenburg an der Havel - a place where theater, music, dance and community come together in a lively way.
Theater has existed in this city for over 200 years; today's Brandenburger Theater takes up this long tradition and reinterprets it. In the year 2000, the modern CulturCongressCentrum opened its doors and since then, with several stages, it has covered the entire spectrum from classical drama, musical theater, opera and puppet theater to children's and youth productions. In addition to the main stage, the ensemble includes a studio stage, a puppet stage and a rehearsal stage - a diversity that shows how broadly the theater is positioned.
The house is also home to the Brandenburger Symphoniker, an orchestra with a long history and tradition of sound. Concerts with them are just as much a part of the regular program as drama, dance, cabaret or children's and youth theater. Its openness is particularly important to the theater: from ambitious musical theater to family-friendly plays, from avant-garde formats to classical opera - almost every form of performing art finds its place here.
In addition, the theater is strongly committed to its region: with its youth work, the "Bürgerbühne" and diverse participation projects, there is room for people of all ages to become part of the theater themselves. Anyone who visits the Brandenburger Theater clearly senses that it is not an elitist house, but a lively place in the city - accessible, diverse and with a clear view of community and culture.
