The ensemble includes the philharmonic orchestra, the choir and a versatile drama team, which together present a varied program of classics, new discoveries, world premieres and contemporary productions.
A special venue is the Globe Coburg - a spectacular new building in the style of Shakespeare's round theater, built as an interim venue during the renovation of the historic building. With flexible seating for 407 to 487 people, and even up to 700 for special events, the Globe impresses with its excellent acoustics, modern design and versatile use for opera, plays, concerts and ballet.

The Reithalle is a neo-Gothic cultural building from the 19th century, which today functions as a studio stage with flexible seating. The intimate atmosphere enables close proximity between audience and artist and is ideal for experimental formats. Other performances and events also take place in the Coburg District Court and at the Steinweg 29 venue - where introductions, matinees and soirées are held to provide deeper insights into the theater's work.
The Landestheater focuses on cultural diversity for all generations. Drama, opera, ballet, concerts, family and youth programs are an integral part of the annual schedule. Guided tours of the Globe also provide exciting insights behind the scenes. From the medieval charm of the Reithalle to the modern aesthetics of the Globe, the theater offers an experience for the eyes and ears. With more than 20 premieres per season, modern interpretations of musical theater and innovative special formats, the Landestheater Coburg remains an active cultural fixture in the region.
