Convergences connect. For more than two decades, the international chamber music festival Konvergenzen has been synonymous with unique experiences, inspiring meetings and a friendly, informal atmosphere. This year's spring edition will take place from March 9 to 12.

The Convergences Festival builds on Bratislava's musical tradition. High art is at home here. The International Chamber Music Festival once again brings a captivating program to the capital, presenting the essence of its basic idea.
Every year, the Convergences offer artists and music lovers a space to get closer to different genres, projects and personalities of chamber music from all over the world. The current edition will bring real music concerts performed by renowned Slovak and foreign performers.

The current edition of the festival comes with the subtitle 'Janáček'. Get to know the beauty and truthfulness of Leoš Janáček's chamber works (1854-1928), in which the Moravian master often expressed his most intimate feelings, thoughts and dreams.
The concerts of the Konvergenzen International Chamber Music Festival will feature all of Janáček's major chamber works, including both autobiographically tuned string quartets subtitled "The Kreutzer Sonata" and "Intimate Letters", which will be performed by the continuators of the Czech quartet school tradition, the Zemlinsky Quartet.

The invitation to the Convergences was accepted by Jan Jiraský, who recorded Janáček's complete piano works. Twice: on a modern instrument and on the composer's own piano. You can also look forward to outstanding Slovak artists: soprano Adriana Kučerová, violinist Milan Paľa, cellist Jozef Lupták, pianist Ivan Šiller and others. Interesting is the introduction of modifications to the songs "Kinderreime", "Die Jugend" and "Auf verwachsenem Pfade".

The festival will also include a lecture by leading Janáček specialist Jiří Zahrádka, an exhibition of portraits of the composer in cooperation with the Leoš Janáček Foundation in Brno, educational activities for children and students with other special events.
The International Music Festival of Chamber Music is an annual festival in Slovakia. Visitors to the festival can look forward to pieces by classical masters, cross-genre overlaps, film screenings, spoken word or a concert for children. In addition to excellent Slovak artists, the festival will also present world-renowned performers.

Convergences go beyond genre and style dividers and are known for surprising dramaturgical connections. It's not enough just to listen to music. Come and be captivated.
