The Ligurian Riviera is one of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in the world. For centuries, the five villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore could only be reached on foot or by sea. Today, the individual villages can be reached by train, boat or via winding roads.

Monterosso
Monterosso is the largest of the five villages and offers many accommodation options. Most of the hotels in Monterosso are located in the new part of Fegina. In the really picturesque old town of Monterosso there are numerous cozy room rentals, fish restaurants, bars and stores. Monterosso is also home to the only large sandy beach in the Cinque Terre.

Vernazza
Vernazza has a picturesque harbor where locals and tourists like to swim and is probably the most photographed village in the Cinque Terre. The small piazza by the sea with restaurants and typical Ligurian houses is fascinating and this is where the tourists gather.

Corniglia
Corniglia is the middle of the five villages and is the only village that is not located directly by the sea, but on a cliff almost 100 meters above the sea. Corniglia has remained a little off the beaten track and those looking for a quiet vacation are in good hands here, as there are a few nice hotels with parking facilities, romantic B&Bs and vacation apartments with sea views.

Manarola
Manarola is situated on two rocky cliffs and the colorful houses spread down to the sea, where the small harbor lies in a bay. This is where the famous Via dell'Amore (Path of Love) begins, a footpath that connects Manarola with Riomaggiore. In Manarola you will find a large selection of romantic bed & breakfasts and beautiful vacation apartments with a view of the sea.

Riomaggiore
Riomaggiore is the easternmost village in the Cinque Terre and is idyllically situated by the sea. Don't miss the picturesque harbour with its brightly painted Ligurian houses. A few steps further on is a beautiful beach, a bathing bay with very coarse pebbles, not suitable for children.
