To mark the 100th anniversary of his death, the Technical State Museum of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is framing Gottlob Frege's scientific work in a joint exhibition with the institutions of the Hanseatic city of Wismar and bringing his early mathematical achievements into the present day.
The pioneering German mathematician, logician and philosopher is today regarded as one of the founders of modern logic and analytical philosophy. With his work, Frege revolutionized the presentation of logical arguments and laid the foundation for mathematical logic. The findings from his work are still used today in the development of computer technology and artificial intelligence. The special exhibition "FREGE - an immersive STEM experience" allows visitors to immerse themselves in the world of numbers and explore logic applications in playful environments.
The exhibition distances itself from any of Gottlob Frege's political or social views that contradict our current ideas of a diverse and tolerant society.
Frege, logic and Luanti - a combination of history, philosophy and play
In the special exhibition on Gottlob Frege, one of the founders of modern formal logic, you can go on a journey of discovery. With Luanti, an interactive game world, Frege's fascinating thinking comes to life for children and adults. You play in a digital environment reminiscent of Minecraft - creative, logical and full of possibilities.
As a visitor to the museum, you can use one of the 5 tablet stations and immerse yourself directly in the digital "Frege world": Solve puzzles, build worlds and learn through play. What is behind terms such as "conceptual or predicate logic"? What are the origins of AI? An exciting tour through the logical world of Gottlob Frege.
