Witty, playful and full of heart: Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing returns to Theater Kiel after its great open-air success as an enchanting indoor production - with lots of charm, music and a twinkle in the eye about the wrong turns of love.

Hero is happy - she loves Claudio and is about to get married. Beatrice, on the other hand, is convinced that there is no such thing as a man for life, and Benedict has sworn never to marry. But at Leonato's court, fate takes its course: a plot is hatched to make the two love-refuseniks fall madly in love with each other.
While everyone is busy preparing for the wedding, a misunderstanding threatens to destroy their happiness. Claudio believes he sees his bride in flagrante delicto with a stranger - an intrigue that sparks mistrust and jealousy. But which is stronger: deception or trust, pride or love? And how far will you go to win back his heart?

Shakespeare's clever yet comical study of love, deception and reconciliation is enriched in this production by the sensitive songs of Sonja Glass - co-founder of the indie pop band BOY and already musically responsible for Romeo and Juliet. Between lightness, pain and great emotion, love is made to shine in all its facets - sometimes playful, sometimes deeply touching, always with a smile between the lines.
