Object in focus: 50 years of the regulation of time limits and family law reform
Just in time for International Women's Day, the hdgö is shedding light on a topic that, despite its historic anniversary, remains as relevant as ever: fifty years ago, decisive milestones in gender policy were achieved through the introduction of abortion without punishment (regulation of time limits) and family law reform. In the museum foyer, those activists who have long fought for the recognition of women's human rights will now have their say. They will also discuss the question of why these debates are still as vehement after five decades.

Memorial 1945/2025: Artistic designs for the Second Republic
At the end of April 2025, hdgö, in collaboration with the University of Art and Design Linz, will present three artistic ideas for a memorial to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Second Republic. What could a new memorial on the balcony of the Neue Hofburg at Vienna's Heldenplatz look like? As part of the "Memorial 1945/2025" project, three proposals are on display in the museum foyer - as inspiration and as a basis for discussions about the state of state historical policy 80 years after the liberation from Nazi rule.
