Through fascinating audio examples, the exhibition offers a new approach to contemporary Austrian history. It invites you to experience political turning points from unusual perspectives and encourages you to think about the interplay between culture and propaganda. The starting point is six key moments: At these points in time, the possibilities of receiving and disseminating information changed decisively - in dictatorship and democracy. The 80 years of the Second Republic in particular show how strongly the media shaped opinion-forming and everyday life. How did people raise their voices? And what role do independent reporting and diverse perspectives play for democracy?
An inspiring journey through history that invites you to listen and have your say!
