The Scharoun Theater Wolfsburg, located on the north-eastern slope of the Klieversberg, is an architectural masterpiece by Hans Scharoun and was opened in 1973. The long, slender, organically shaped building with light travertine and dark accents is one of the largest theaters in Germany.

The theater is almost exclusively a guest performance venue. Around two in-house productions are staged each season, including a popular Christmas fairytale on a regular basis. Drama, musical theater, contemporary dance and ballet performances as well as opera and symphony concerts are shown. The program is deliberately diverse and appeals to a wide audience.

The Young Theatre is also an integral part of the theater: it offers specially curated productions and events for young people of all ages and school classes. In addition to the main auditorium, the backstage of the theater building and the Hallenbad - Kultur am Schachtweg in the city center also serve as venues. A special highlight is the annual revolving stage ball in March - an atmospheric celebration in the foyer and stage area that has long been known beyond the city limits. In the summer, the theater takes a break before the new season traditionally opens in September.

The in-house box office and a central advance booking office in Porschestraße are available for ticket purchases and advice. The box office opens one hour before the start of each performance. A visit to the Scharoun Theater Wolfsburg combines impressive architecture, technical sophistication and cultural diversity - a lively venue for sophisticated art and moving experiences in the heart of the city.
