In the heart of the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg lies the modern Theater Lüneburg - a future-oriented three-genre theater with its own ensemble for drama, music theater and ballet, which attracts guests from the entire northern region. The striking building, modernized with funding from the European Regional Development Fund, combines traditional stage art with an open educational mission for young and old.

The theater comprises three venues: The Grosses Haus with around 542 seats for operas, concerts and major drama productions; the Studiobühne T.NT with around 99 seats for experimental productions; and the Junges Theater T.3 with around 140 seats, which specifically offers children's and youth theater, puppet shows and family plays.

Around 30 new productions are shown each season - from classical stage works, musicals, operettas and ballets to contemporary music theater projects. In addition, there are around 500 events including concerts, guest performances and special formats. Particularly noteworthy is the close partnership with the music school of the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg, which supports musical projects and training formats, among other things.

One particular highlight is its commitment to sustainability: as part of the "Theater of Change" initiative, the theater is developing strategies for environmentally friendly mobility, energy saving and resource-conserving theater operations - a pioneering regional project.

Its central location on the Reeperbahnen makes the theater easily accessible and connects it to the cultural and gastronomic life of the city. The box office is open Tuesdays to Fridays and on Saturdays until the early afternoon. Tickets can be conveniently booked online and provide access to high-quality artistic entertainment for every target group.
