A special anniversary is celebrated with the 1300th anniversary of the Reichenau Monastery – including a large state exhibition in Constance. The cheerful Constance Carnival in the fifth season, the Campus Festival, the cross-border 24-hour flea market and the Lake Night Festival in summer, the GuteZeit Festival in autumn or the Christmas market by the lake in winter: In Constance, the beating heart of the four-country region (D, A, CH, FL), unique highlights are offered at any time of the year. In addition to regular offers such as city tours and extraordinary experiences, e.g. sailing gymnastics, ice courses and themed hikes, there are also plenty of large events throughout the year to enjoy life here on Lake Constance and create memories. The focus in Konstanz next year will be on history.

Jubilee Year & Sensory Impulses
The island of Reichenau will celebrate its 1300th birthday next year – and Constance is also celebrating with the "Year of History". With the large state exhibition "World Heritage of the Middle Ages", where outstanding works of art and magnificent manuscripts from the Reichenau scriptorium can be seen, part of the special festival takes place in the Archaeological State Museum Baden-Württemberg in Constance.

The motto of the anniversary is "We weave a bond". At multifaceted events, people come together to celebrate the founding of the impressive and significant UNESCO World Heritage Site. Installations, workshops, lectures, concerts and much more make it possible to explore the impressive history of the monastery island and to gain inspiring insights into the founding period as well as the monastery.
