DanceThe legendary NDT 2 is finally back in Austria! Inspired by the correspondence between Ingeborg Bachmann and Paul Celan and set to music by Franz Schubert, Alfred Schnittke, and the rock band Placebo, Marco Goecke presentsWir sagen uns Dunkles(We Tell Each Other Dark Things), a choreography exploring the vulnerable, dark side of human nature. WithFolkå, Marcos Morau presents a vibrant visual and auditory landscape that tells of community, customs, and traditions.
Choreographer Marco Goecke works with renowned companies around the world. As the winner of the 2022 German Dance Award, he is considered a defining figure in classical dance and will become artistic director of the ballet at Theater Basel from the 2025/2026 season. Marcos Morau is one of the most influential voices in contemporary dance and has been contributing his artistic vision as artist in residence at the Staatsballett Berlin since 2023. NDT 2 was founded in 1978 as the second company of NDT. Originally intended as a talent factory for young dancers, it has developed into an independent company with its own repertoire and worldwide tours.
