Sunday stroll meets musical enjoyment: 3rd Classical Music in the Afternoon invites you to enjoy fine chamber music in the impressive Ulrichskirche - personal, close and full of discoveries.
The Staatskapelle Halle's classical afternoon concert series offers a musical gem on Sunday afternoons: intimate chamber music with a high-quality line-up that focuses on proximity and sound quality.
This season's program includes solo programs with Matthias Fiedler (cello) and performances by the renowned pianists Matthias Kirschnereit and Joseph Moog. The musicians of the Staatskapelle interpret works from the classical and romantic periods as well as selected gems - always with the aim of opening up sound spaces and making musical details audible.
The venue adds a special aura to the experience: in the Ulrichskirche, the pieces are performed in acoustically sensitive architecture that allows for both intimacy and musical transparency. In addition to selected works such as Weber's overture to Der Beherrscher der Geister, Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 and Beethoven's Pastorale, the audience can expect an evening in which the finest gestures and timbres take center stage - a concert for connoisseurs, connoisseurs and all those who want to experience music in its gentle power.
