The exhibition Rosa Loy - Sonne im Sinn presents an extensive selection of her works, including paintings, drawings, collages, graphics and objects created in recent years.

The artist is attributed to the New Leipzig School, which favored a figurative style of painting at the Academy of Visual Arts (HGB) in Leipzig in the 1990s. Her paintings are often characterized by a precise and detailed execution, by the use of traditional techniques, often combined with modern themes and approaches. Internationally, her works belong to the painterly position of the new surrealism.

Rosa Loy's paintings offer a fascinating exploration of sensuality as the artist combines traditional and contemporary elements. Her works invite deep, meditative contemplation while revealing a rich perspective on the world. Many of Loy's paintings contain a symbolic layer based on old and new myths, fairy tales, dreams and the mundane everyday. Often surreal scenarios that are rich in nature motifs and mythological allusions and create a sensual connection between man and nature. Nature is often depicted as alive and animated, which enhances the sensuality of the scenes of female figures in lush, natural surroundings. In some pictures, on the other hand, the scene takes place in a closed space, which emphasizes the dramaturgy, sensuality or nonchalance of the momentum.
