Hohentwiel Fortress, one of the largest fortress ruins in Germany, Gamburg Castle with the oldest secular wall paintings north of the Alps, Heiligenberg Castle, considered the pearl of the Renaissance, and Hohenstadt with one of the largest baroque hedge gardens. These and many other places of longing in Baden-Württemberg invite you on a special kind of journey through time - very close, between the Tauber Valley and Lake Constance, the Rhine and the Swabian Alb. In order to present them in all their diversity and attractiveness, state, municipal and private historical monuments in the state have joined forces in the "Schlösser Burgen Gärten Baden-Württemberg e. V." association. Among other things, its members organize the state-wide Castle Experience Day for families every third Sunday in June.

Hohenzollern Castle, Heidelberg Palace, Mainau Island, Maulbronn Abbey - who doesn't know them? They are attractions for travelers from all over the world, but the state's wealth of such attractive destinations is far from exhausted. How about a visit to Blaubeuren Monastery or the Waghäusel Hermitage, the Roman bath ruins in Badenweiler or the stately burial chapels in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, Gamburg Castle and Castle Park or Weikersheim Castle and Castle Gardens, Katzenstein Castle or Langenburg Castle? The "Schlösser Burgen Gärten Baden-Württemberg" association includes both well-known and unknown, state and private historical monuments in the state. Here they speak with one voice, presenting themselves together in all their diversity.
