Radical Software: Women, Art & Computing 1960-1991 is the first in a series of research-based group exhibitions. The works of around fifty female artists from the fields of painting, sculpture, installation, photography, film and numerous computer-generated drawings and texts are presented. The exhibition looks at the history of artistic experimentation in the pre-internet era of computer science from a feminist perspective.
A new publication with 27 interviews with female artists accompanies the exhibition. The exhibition Radical Software: Women, Art and Computing 1960-1991 is curated by Michelle Cotton and produced by Kunsthalle Wien and Mudam Luxembourg - Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean.
