The large-scale summer group show "Time Changes Time" at the schäfer + schlehwein gallery brings together current positions in painting, photography, and video art in an exhibition context generously spread across four rooms at ART SPACE stift millstatt. As part of the exhibition, the dance collective NETZWERK AKS will present a three-hour dance performance.
Where do we come from? Where are we going? How do we want to shape our lives? The questions remain, time marches on. Change is taking place inexorably at all levels.
In art, too, there is a profound confrontation with established viewpoints that casts doubt on form and method, material and color and seeks new approaches to traditional themes. It moves at the boundaries of our perception of reality, oscillates between fiction and reality, questions traditional rules and visualizes changing times on canvas, in video art, photography, sculpture and installation.

All approaches are united by their contemporary context, which takes up the doubts and questions of a present that is running out of control and in motion, with the desire to examine traditional approaches for their validity today and to outline supratemporal situations, at least in utopian wishes.
It is about transformative processes, about phenomena of deception and lies, about the vulnerability of human beings and the narrowly defined temporality of our life on this earth. Consciously applied work steps generated by artificial intelligence result in an autonomous new formal language consistent with their thematic orientation in the media of painting and photography.

The label Andrea K. Schlehwein + Netzwerk AKS presents a continuous dance performance entitled “all is process” lasting three hours, which naturally merges with the events surrounding the group exhibition at Galerie schäfer + schlehwein, thus becoming a unique experience for the visitors.
The dance is simple and perhaps unspectacular in the space, its protagonists can be seen up close, one is close to them and as a unit creates a moving spatial landscape of paintings, video art, soundscape, dance and last but not least: the visitors themselves.
