With Nora Turato's 62-meter-long mural "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa," the Kunsthalle Wien launches its new annual public space commission for the display cases of the MuseumsQuartier building. Turato uses language as a central material in her work, playfully exploring the power structures of its spoken and written forms. This new work utilizes the display cases on the southwest exterior wall of the building to depict a scream, articulating one of the most primal and uninhibited forms of expression in a carefully constructed mural.
