THREE OF A KIND is the name of the extravagant art exhibition at the Parkhotel Egerner Höfe on Lake Tegernsee, which has been specially curated by renowned Munich gallery owner Sarah Kronsbein in cooperation with the boutique hotel. On display until the end of May 2024 are over 20 works by the important artists HERMANN, Richard Wurm and Diango Hernández, which, as different as they are, complement each other perfectly in terms of dramaturgy. The exhibition creates a direct connection to the hotel, which is reflected in many areas such as nature, creation, communication and enjoyment and invites visitors to dream, reflect and engage in conversation.

Sarah Kronsbein, owner of the Kronsbein Gallery, explains: "At first glance, Diango Hernández's works are visually very life-affirming and positive, but in terms of content they take up the moving history of his homeland Cuba: A country that only allowed sparse and one-sided insights due to its decades of political isolation. With his art, in particular his "Drop" paintings, he breaks through this isolation and addresses the political and social situation of the people there, who fight their daily battle for existence with the few resources available to them. In his sculptures, the artist transforms everyday objects such as used furniture and found household utensils, which are scarce or impossible to buy in Cuba, into a new function. They often express poverty, frustration and perhaps also longing, but definitely also resistance, individuality - and humor! His "Waves" represent his language of the ocean - a language that can also be used in painting to create images for a world that is always in flux and in motion.

Richard Wurm's abstract and color-intensive works leave the viewer plenty of room for their own interpretation and at the same time reflect the magnificent colors and spring awakening of the wonderful nature that is so omnipresent at Lake Tegernsee.
HERMANN, who describes himself as a 'student of nature' and who worked for decades as a vegetable farmer in his native Austria, is presenting his Olive Tree Pompeii for the first time as part of "Three of a Kind" - the olive tree as a symbol of the roots of our history: the deeper and further back these roots reach, the better. The tree illustrates the decisive role that time plays in people's lives and in nature. It is a reflection of the events of the past centuries, the events of the present and a wonderful sign of growth and therefore of the future."

Parkhotel Egerner Höfe - a place where art is lived and experienced
"Art wants to be lived and experienced," says Sarah Kronsbein. "And art wants to be seen. That's why a cosmopolitan venue like the Parkhotel Egerner Höfe is perfect for this exhibition. Guests have the time and leisure to engage more intensively with the works and linger with the art in this magnificent setting. Both art and top-class hospitality promote encounters, arouse emotions and create many topics for exchange - and certainly also for discourse.
