The Vienna Youth Philharmonic Orchestra has been a professional all-Austrian youth orchestra for talented musicians aged 17 to 27 for 25 years. from 17 to 27 years. Every year, they develop at least ten projects and play around 25 concerts.

Highlights of a success story: founding concert in 1997 and 2007 anniversary concert at the Vienna Musikverein, 2001 opening of the International Schönberg Festival at the Vienna Konzerthaus, recitals with Agnes Baltsa, Elina Garanca, José Carreras, Dave Brubeck, 2005 organization of the state treaty anniversaries, 2015 Ravello Festival, 2016 Mozarteum Brasiliero, 2019 South Tyrolean Festival, 2021 Salzburg Festival. Other renowned soloists with whom the orchestra has performed include Albena Danailova, Ildikó Raimondi, Chen Reiss, Franz Bartholomey, Paul Gulda, Robert Holl, Rainer Küchl and Daniel Ottensamer.
In Vienna, the orchestra performs mainly at the MuTh - Concert Hall of the Vienna Sängerknaben, where it performs three times a year and has created its own Mozart cycle. In 2021, the live recording of Schubert's 5th Symphony füselected for the Youth World Orchestra Festivalä
In 2022, the orchestra celebrated its 25th anniversary.
