An outstanding attraction is the 60-metre-high Millennium Tower with an interactive exhibition that presents a journey through 6,000 years of scientific and technological history.
he Millennium Tower is also known as the "smartest tower in the world" because 250 exhibits and displays on six exhibition levels vividly show how the world has changed and humanity has developed over the past 6,000 years. An interactive journey through time that you can touch and try out. In addition to the Millennium Tower, the Elbauenpark Magdeburg offers a wide range of recreation, fun and entertainment, including a butterfly house, playgrounds, sports facilities, themed gardens and a fitness trail.

The Millennium Tower in Magdeburg's Elbauenpark holds many surprises and records. At 60 meters high, it is the largest wooden structure of its kind in the world. Around 70,000 visitors a season are whisked away into the magical world of science. In 1999, the first year of the Federal Garden Show, there were even 1.5 million.

German, English, Russian, Chinese, French, Swedish.... The confusion of languages resembles that of the great tower uranium in Babylon. Except that here everyone seems to understand each other. Science is multilingual. Not much explanation is needed here. Most of the 250 or so exhibits are self-explanatory. Visitors can even try out 150 of them for themselves.

Whether treading water wheels, writing in mirror writing, exploring scents or turning optical perspectives upside down in the "magic room": Touching is expressly encouraged here. This is what makes the exhibition so appealing, which is why it is particularly popular with school classes. And since you're never too old for this, grandma and grandpa often come along, especially during the vacations.
