Space, sculpture, and architecture merge into an impressive installation: an exhibition in the Modern Gallery of the Saarland Museum is dedicated to the work of Polish artist Monika Sosnowska. Her monumental works alter the perception of the exhibition space and open up new perspectives on sculpture and architecture.
The exhibition in the Modern Gallery of the Saarland Museum presents works by the internationally renowned artist Monika Sosnowska. The focus is on large-scale sculptures, which are combined in the museum's high-ceilinged dome hall to form an exciting ensemble of hanging sculptures and floor works. This creates an impressive spatial setting that intertwines architecture and sculpture.

Sosnowska's works often take up forms of modern architecture and transform them through twists, distortions, or unexpected perspectives. This results in sculptures that simultaneously reference and alienate familiar architectural structures. The works play with the perception of space and invite viewers to view architecture from a new, artistic perspective.
With her expansive installations, Monika Sosnowska impressively demonstrates how contemporary sculpture can reshape the dialogue between art, architecture, and viewers.
