The exhibition "How art changes our view of the world" places the work of the famous artist couple Christo and Jeanne-Claude in the context of the projects of the equally world-famous French artist JR (born 1983).

These are two artistic positions whose inner connection lies in the fact that they break through the boundaries of the art world and interest and involve a broad public, across all social classes, in their actions. Both Christo and Jeanne-Claude's spectacular wrappings and JR's large-scale portraits in unusual locations are designed to change the way we look at the world.

Christo and Jeanne-Claude initially wrapped everyday objects ranging from roses to VW Beetles. With the so-called Store Fronts, they transferred the mysteriousness of the wrapped object into an architectural dimension. These transformative interventions were the forerunners of large-scale architectural interventions and landscape changes. Projects such as the wrapping of the Reichstag in Berlin (1995) remain unforgotten to all who experienced them. The art of Christo and Jeanne-Claude is an art without any claim to permanence and lives from the appeal of unrepeatable eventfulness.

The exhibition features original lithographs and editions by the artist couple as well as photographs by Wolfgang Volz, their close confidant, who has documented many projects and whose photographs are an integral part of their artistic work.
