Engers Castle in Neuwied is a magnificent baroque residence on the Rhine, which is now known as a popular venue for concerts and cultural events.

Mediterranean fairy tale reading with music: Even in Luther's time, the fairy tale of the beautiful king's daughter from Naples was a favorite reading material for Germans. Magelone flees with her lover, Count Peter of Provence, to the Mediterranean, where Turks abduct the hero. The lovers remain separated for years until they are finally happily reunited. The young Brahms set the 15 romances from Tieck's romantic version to music, creating an ideal template for a song recital with a reading. The actress Silke Rüdinger and the young song duo Jost-Hornig have already successfully presented their version of Magelone at the Goethe House in Frankfurt.
