The Sigmund Freud Museum at Berggasse 19 is the historic place where Sigmund Freud lived and worked for 47 years. It was here that he developed the foundations of psychoanalysis and wrote some of his most important works. The museum offers an authentic insight into Freud's life and work.

The permanent exhibition shows original preserved room structures, personal objects, historical writings and photographs that shed light on various facets of Freud's everyday life, research and family. This is complemented by changing special exhibitions that address current topics and illustrate the timeless relevance of psychoanalysis.
