The show delves deep into CHER's life - from the early dreams of a young girl to her star on the Walk of Fame. With all its breaks, doubts and triumphs, the musical traces an eventful artist's life, which is characterized by international success as well as personal setbacks. 35 world hits, including Believe, If I Could Turn Back Time and Strong Enough, form the pulsating backbone of the evening. In Grammy award-winner Rick Elice's sophisticated dramaturgy, three CHERS take over the stage - three phases of life, three perspectives, a fascinating dialog about identity, courage and self-assertion.
The costumes are as legendary as CHER itself: original designs by Emmy award-winner Bob Mackie, which have become cultural icons and transform the stage into a sparkling firework display of fashion. The evening not only tells the story of an artist, but also that of an unbroken belief in her own voice: When her marriage to Sonny Bono broke down in the glare of publicity, her career seemed on the brink. But CHER fought on - and turned every setback into a new beginning.
