"Fruity!" is the name of the new exhibition at the Städtische Galerie Offenburg - a colorful and multi-layered journey through the motif of fruit and pleasure, between painting, sculpture and social criticism.

In the rooms of the Städtische Galerie Offenburg, "Fruchtig!" ("Fruity!") is an exhibition that appears light at first glance - but draws deeper traces on closer inspection. Over 40 works, created in the 20th and 21st centuries, are brought together here under a common theme: fruit. But it's not just about fruit in still life format. Domestic and exotic varieties, from apples to lemons, open up a panorama of techniques and materials - from painting and drawing to sculpture, installation and video.

The selection brings together renowned artists and surprising positions, and combines a culture of indulgence with aesthetic reflection: where the shiny apple used to signal under- or over-abundance, questions are raised here about consumption, origin and the visibility of culture. In this thematic range, the exhibition shows how emblematic the motif of fruit can be for human longing, physicality and change.

The architecture of the exhibition space supports this complexity: light-flooded rooms, generous walls and an open, almost labyrinthine floor plan enable direct encounters with the works - without any museum-like distance. Educational offers, family activities and guided tours round off the experience and invite visitors to take a closer look, ask questions and follow along.

Visitors to "Fruchtig!" are immersed in a field of tension between aesthetics and everyday life, color and meaning, enjoyment and reflection. An exhibition that is not only viewed, but lingers on.
