A concert evening dedicated to romantic sound brings youthful musical enthusiasm and great orchestral literature to the Friedrich von Thiersch Hall of the Kurhaus Wiesbaden. Under the baton of an up-and-coming talent and together with one of the most acclaimed pianists of his generation, a program will be performed that brings the symphonic and virtuoso spirit of the 19th century to life.
The 21-year-old Munich conductor Maximilian Haberstock has won the Young Philharmonic Orchestra Munich , he has formed an ensemble that brings together young musicians from over two dozen nations and combines musical curiosity with a high degree of precision. Together with American pianist Maxim Lando — known for his virtuosity and expressive stage presence — they will present an evening featuring three central masterpieces of Romantic music. The program includes Wagner's passionate prelude to Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Liszt's grand Piano Concerto No. 2, and Beethoven's monumental Fifth Symphony, which, with its striking fate motif, is one of the most powerful symbols of symphonic power.
This compilation brings together youthful energy and orchestral substance, classical forms and expressive enthusiasm. The evening not only focuses on the contrasting expressive ranges of 19th-century music, but also shows how young artists interpret this tradition with a fresh perspective and technical mastery.
