An insider tip for guitar music lovers! Every year, the top stars of the international guitar scene come together for a week at the Liechtenstein Guitar Days ligita. Every year at the beginning of July, the small but top-class festival takes place in the Liechtenstein lowlands with concerts, courses, workshops and exhibitions all about the guitar. The Liechtensteiner Gitarrentage ligita is one of the most important guitar events in Europe today. Music, culture, quality content and the friendly exchange of art, knowledge and information are the motivating goal and motto. Here is a selection of this year's festival program:
Volterra Project Trio
The Volterra Project Trio reinterprets the trio literature for guitar, drawing inspiration from European impressionism, Mediterranean folk melodies and film music. The three protagonists Antigoni Goni (Greece), Luca Isolani (Italy) and Maarten Vandenbemden (Belgium) came together at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, where Antigoni Goni has held the guitar professorship since 2004. Together, the three also organize the guitar festival in Volterra, which has been held annually since 2007 under the direction of its founder Antigoni Goni and attracts many guitarists from all over the world.
