The big hands-on exhibition returns to the Landesmuseum. Music connects people, awakens emotions, releases energy. Whether soft or loud, traditional or experimental - music makes us dance, evokes memories, is balm for the soul, an expression of great joy or deep sorrow. Music moves - all over the world.

The exhibition focuses on the experience of music and shows how music influences our bodies and emotions. What happens when a rhythm takes hold of us? What connects medieval dances with today's hip-hop? How does music affect our brain? What does it feel like to be part of an orchestra?
Twelve pavilions with musical hands-on stations invite visitors to listen and experiment - from drum battles and composing pop songs to carpool karaoke. An innovative sound installation makes it possible to assume the individual position of a musician in the midst of a large ensemble. In addition to listening and dancing stations, historical exhibits such as gramophones, radios and MP3 players illustrate the rapid development of music technology. Instruments from different times and cultures, including a Celtic war trumpet, provide a variety of insights into the fascinating world of music. After an initial presentation in 2019, MUSIC! will return to Bonn from fall 2024 with a new exhibition design. A varied accompanying program rounds off the exhibition experience.
