Rousing, atmospheric and full of soul: in their new program "Hallelujah - Schlager meets Gospel", The Golden Voices of Gospel combine moving tradition with a modern variety of sounds - a feast for the heart and voice.

The Golden Voices of Gospel invite you on a journey through a century of spirituals, traditionals and gospels in their very personal and inimitable way. This music expresses like no other the attitude to life, the pride and the devotion of the vast majority of the black population in the USA. The extensive musical repertoire of these charismatic voices gives us an idea that the roots of almost all the important "modern" music styles of the last century (blues, jazz, rock, beat, etc.) reach back to gospel music. Both modern gospel pieces and songs such as "Oh When The Saints", "Glory Glory Hallelujah", "Swing Low Sweet Chariot ", "Motherless Child", "Joshua fit the Battle of Jericho ", "O Happy Day" invite the audience to listen and join in.

The Golden Voices of Gospel have been a powerful vocal institution in this country for decades and have already supported Michael Jackson on "Wetten, dass...?", were in the studio with Helene Fischer and on Christmas tour with André Rieu - they are also known from dozens of primetime Saturday evening shows. Now The Golden Voices of Gospel are presenting something very special for the festive season: Schlager meets gospel on "Hallelujah".

It is the marriage of two genres, a festive meeting of exceptional voices and traditions - although this stylistic openness has always characterized gospel music: Jazz, blues and other modern musical styles have found their way into the songs of the great gospel choirs for decades, and so it is a logical step to expand the sound spectrum to include German-language pop songs and Christmas classics for the first time. The new album "Hallelujah" proves how moving and touching this combination sounds.
