On March 3, 2026, American-Auskarian Meshell Ndegeocello will present a program full of soul, jazz, hip-hop and rock at the Pierre Boulez Saal Berlin - an artist and band making their debut in this extraordinary space.

Meshell Ndegeocello has been a leading voice of feminist, queer and cross-genre music for over three decades: she writes her songs, sings them, plays double bass and leads her band - a rare triad. In Berlin, she brings with her Justin Hicks (vocals), Christopher Bruce (guitar), Abraham Rounds (drums), Jebin Bruni (keyboards) and Jake Sherman (organ) an ensemble with which she will bring her broad spectrum between soul, R&B, jazz, hip-hop and rock to impressive effect.

The Pierre Boulez Saal offers the ideal stage for this: with its elliptical shape, the audience surrounding the stage and acoustic design at the highest level, a concert moment is created that enables both closeness and sound. Here, Ndegeocello's playing can be experienced not only musically but also spatially - the band, the groove and the voices open up to the space, the audience becomes part of the moment.

The artist is regarded as a trailblazer: she has crossed stylistic boundaries, opened up new perspectives and left her mark both musically and culturally. In her Berlin debut, you can look forward to an intense listening experience in which songs, band interaction and spatial displacement have a simultaneous effect. An evening that is not only heard, but felt.
