The character of the region can be experienced in over 100 establishments and at around 20 culinary events. Crystal-clear lakes, wild rivers, majestic mountains and precious salt crystals: rock and water have shaped the Salzkammergut. The salt gave it its name. Even though the salt from the depths of the mountains not only gave the region its name, but also part of its identity, today enjoyment is the new salt. The many local chefs make sure of this.
The "Salt in the Soup" gourmet spring brings together the culinary and cultural treasures of the region, which stretches across three federal states. Enjoy regional fish creations.
