This spring you can experience an exhibition about the famous Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti. Using masterpieces in sculpture and drawing, the exhibition shows Giacometti's fascination for what you really see when you look.

Famous long limbs
Tall, slender figures with rough, organic surfaces. Giacometti (1901-1966) is internationally renowned for his iconic depictions of long-limbed human figures. The sculptures, which are exhibited in some of the world's greatest museums, are a major reason for Giacometti's fame - both in his time and today, where he is considered one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. However, his art also encompasses painting, graphic art and drawing.

The obsession with the visible
The exhibition unfolds Giacometti's lifelong obsession with the visual experience of man. In his art, Giacometti devoted himself to capturing the world as he saw and experienced it. And he was uncompromising in his endeavors. He often painted over his works and created countless sketches of the same portrait. He described his endless project with these words: " It is as if reality were always behind a curtain that you pull away ... There is always another ... and another. But I have the impression - or maybe it's an illusion - that I make a little progress every day. That's what makes me want to do something, as if you really have to manage to understand the core of life.

In the exhibition, you can gain a unique insight into Giacometti's sculptures, drawings and paintings, which are characterized by philosophy and the upheavals of two world wars.
