Clouds are one of the most fascinating and omnipresent phenomena in our atmosphere. Clouds appear in a wide variety of forms. They can end droughts, but they can also bring floods and devastation. They influence our weather, our daily lives and play a decisive role in the complex climate system. Understanding clouds has never been more important.
The exhibition invites visitors on an exciting journey through the world of clouds. With breathtaking, multimedia visualizations of spectacular weather events, current scientific information, 3D cloud models and exhibits from the collection of the Hessian State Museum, the exhibition makes what happens in the sky above our heads tangible. Visitors can experience the phenomenon of cloud formation live through an experiment. The exhibition helps visitors to differentiate between the various types of clouds, provides a clear scientific background and offers insights into current cloud research.
The exhibition "Clouds. Experience & Understand" allows visitors to become "cloud researchers" themselves and better understand the dynamic processes that influence our planet.
