The jointly conceived and integrative exhibition "Candida Höfer. Liechtenstein" by Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein and the Hilti Art Foundation can be seen until April 10, 2023.

The focus is on photographs by Candida Höfer, which she took especially for this exhibition. She photographed her subjects predominantly with a large-format digital camera at locations in Liechtenstein: interior and exterior views of museum architecture, libraries or storage rooms that serve cultural purposes in both the narrower and broader sense. In this way, they join the groups of motifs for which Höfer has become known. Her photographs are accompanied by selected works of art from both collections in a dialog.
The renowned artist Candida Höfer (*1944), who belongs to the Düsseldorf "Becher School", has already realized several site-specific groups of pictures, for example in Brussels and Düsseldorf. Her series created in and for Liechtenstein follows in this tradition.
A production of the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein and the Hilti Art Foundation, curated by Christiane Meyer-Stoll, Letizia Ragaglia and Uwe Wieczorek.
