An exhibition that combines architecture, landscape and history - and at the same time makes the long-standing partnership between Neuruppin and Nymburk visible in new images.

The exhibition "BETWEEN ARTS AND NATURE" at the Neuruppin Museum invites visitors to discover the Czech twin town of Nymburk from unusual perspectives on the occasion of the town's 750th anniversary. The focus is on the impressive aerial photographs by photographer Jiří Jiroušek, who has been documenting Czech cities and landscapes from a bird's eye view for many years. His pictures are taken from a motorized paraglider and show architecture, river courses, urban structures and natural areas with a clarity that makes familiar places appear new.

The presentation is complemented by historical postcards from Nymburk, whose motifs from earlier decades form a charming contrast to the contemporary photographs. The result is a dialog between the past and the present, between established cityscapes and today's expansive view from the air.

The exhibition is also an expression of the close cooperation between the two twin towns, which has been cultivated for over three decades. Contributions from the cultural offices, the Nymburk City Library and the Neuruppin Museum come together here and form a project that makes the cultural connection visible. Representatives from both cities will speak at the opening, and a historical lecture will complement the photographic impressions and deepen the view of Nymburk's rich history.

"BETWEEN ARCHITECTURE AND NATURE" is therefore more than just a photographic exhibition - it is an invitation to take a fresh look at the city and the landscape and to experience the special relationship between Neuruppin and Nymburk from a new perspective.
