The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is one of the most important museums of 20th century European and North American art in Italy. It is located in Peggy Guggenheim's former home, the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, on the Grand Canal in Venice.

From April 13, 2024, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection will present Jean Cocteau: The Jugglers Revenge, the first major retrospective in Italy dedicated to Jean Cocteau (1889-1963). Organized by the renowned Cocteau specialist and art historian at New York University, Kenneth E. Silver, the exhibition highlights the artist's versatility, the numerous juggling acts that characterized his production and which were often criticized by his contemporaries. Through an impressive variety of media, including drawings, prints, jewelry, tapestries, books, magazines, photographs, films and documentaries authored by the enfant terrible of the French art world, Jean Cocteau: The Juggler's Revenge traces the evolution of Cocteau's unique and highly personal aesthetic as well as key moments in his tumultuous artistic career.
