An evening of grace, virtuosity and musical brilliance: with works by Schubert, Mozart and Tchaikovsky as well as the internationally acclaimed guitarist Petrit Čeku, this concert promises a multifaceted experience for lovers of classical sound art - from chamber music rarities to orchestral brilliance.

Invented by Johann Georg Staufer in 1823, the "arpeggione" was also known at the time as the "bowed guitar", "guitar-violoncello" or "guitar d'amour". This "hybrid" would probably have long been forgotten had Franz Schubert not composed a sonata for the arpeggione.

Even though it was not published until almost forty years after Mozart's death, Die Kleine Nachtmusik continues to enchant to this day. It combines cheerful charisma and natural simplicity with brilliant sophistication. The Serenade for string orchestra is one of Tchaikovsky's most famous orchestral works. The piece is a successful blend of Mozartian lightness, German-Romantic intimacy and French elegance.

The wonderful playing on stage, the feeling he creates, his virtuosity and his connection to the guitar have led the German media to describe classical guitarist Petrit Čeku, born in Kosovo-Albania in 1985, as a world-class guitarist.
