Frank Kunert (*1963) builds elaborate objects from lightweight foam boards, wood, cardboard and paint, among other materials, which he then stages photographically. These photographs of "small worlds" create an illusion of reality with their everyday motifs.

Photographer Frank Kunert depicts the whole diversity of life in fascinating detail, from the tragic to the comic. He often addresses our behavior in relation to the environment and our fellow human beings critically, but also with a twinkle in his eye. The works give viewers the opportunity to put themselves in the situation. There are no limits to the imagination, as the artist does not specify how the situation could continue outside the detail. The titles of the works also play a major role, so viewers are unlikely to think of a risky highway when they hear the title "Fahrt ins Blaue" (Drive into the Blue).
The exhibition with over 60 photographs and several models takes us into the fascinating "wonderland" of Boppard-based artist Frank Kunert.
